The Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning sector (PTLLS) course is an introductory teaching qualification designed for those people who wish to move into the training sector. The course will give you the effective skills to deliver training to others.
 
Our course is awarded by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). The Institute has been delivering high-quality qualifications to industry for many years.
 
The course covers:
  • Understanding your own roles and responsibilities and the boundaries of your role with regards to teaching.
  • Understanding appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area
  • Demonstrating session planning skills
  • Understanding how to deliver inclusive sessions that motivate learners
  • Understanding use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping

Duration

Our standalone PTLLS course is 5 days. If coupled with our listed courses above the course is 10 days.

Anyone who wishes to enter into the world of civilian teaching and training. Ideal if you wish to enhance your CV with the ability to undertake in-house or certified training to ensure the company you work for is compliant in many areas of legislation.
 
This is also the pre-requisite course you will require to teach in publicly funded higher or further education such as colleges.
