Formed in 2008, BV Associates Limited has grown to be one of the UK’s foremost providers of health and safety training and consultancy services.

The philosophy of BV Associates Limited is to make safety training easy and accessible for all businesses.  We employ trainers located throughout the UK delivering dynamic classroom training courses.  Each trainer is professionally trained and experienced to provide you with a service that delivers informative and enjoyable training but more importantly making the subject matter easy to understand. Meet the Directors

Dean Ferguson - Director of Training Services

Even when Dean was employed as a Serviceman, he helped his parents run their training company.  Initially running errands working up to being the Operations Manager for Unit 9 training, taking it from a local business to a highly respected training delivery company covering the whole South East of the UK.  Having served 22 years in the British Army (Royal Engineers), Dean retired after completing a final tour as an Executive Officer at Gibraltar Barracks. His first venture, a Project Management company called ‘The Solution Exchange,’ saw him build a substantial client base, before taking on the challenge to develop all administrative and training aspects of BV Associates Limited. He now heads both the public and private sector company training portfolios, as well as leading the BV Associates Admin Support Team at the four geographically split offices across the UK. Recent achievements include the expansion of the training portfolio to include the full suite of NEBOSH courses, the delivery of training contracts and the creation of a course management system.

Dean remains committed to providing advice to service leavers, helping with work placements and subsequent full time employment in a range of sectors both in the UK and abroad.

He has written 2 books (A Service Leavers Guide to Leaving the Forces and a history book on Minley Manor and its Estate) and in between a busy work life he enjoys working on his classic car and taking country walks.

Dean is a Technical member of the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH).

Chris Vincent - Director of Consultancy Services

Following a full and successful career with the Royal Engineers, Chris retired and set up BV Associates as a consultancy and training business to provide health and safety, project management and security advice to industry. Recent achievements include: Consultancy for Centrica Energy across a number of major power stations dealing with risk assessment; senior consultant to Hitachi Zosen Inova across a number of energy from waste construction projects with particular emphasis on safety advice to management. He is also a senior safety consultant for Portakabin, Kane International and Ashby and Croft to name a few.

Other roles include the development and implementation of safety, evacuation and security plans for a major banking group; production of an extensive residential safety plan with formal delivery briefing to safety board members for the King Abdullah University in Saudi Arabia; the conduct of large scale training and delivery to numerous European companies entering the UK to work within the Power and Construction Industries; conducting fire risk assessments for the Tim Russ Estate Agent group; providing health and safety annual cover for BV Associates’ growing client base.

Outside of work and when not on the road, Chris enjoys cycling, travelling and listen to his music collection.

  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Safety Practice

Chris is a Chartered member of the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) and a registered consultant on the UK’s Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR). He also holds a CSCS white card (Professionally qualified person).
