Fire Evacuation Plans & Training

What are the Benefits for Employers?

Fire Evacuation Plans

A hugely important aspect of fire safety for businesses is ensuring people know how to respond in the event of a fire. A swift and organised evacuation of a building can literally save lives when fire is involved. To make sure your business and employees are prepared in case of a fire, you should have in place fire safety and evacuation plans and provide sufficient fire safety training for your employees.

Fire Training

The best way you can prepare your employees for a fire is with good fire safety training. It is in fact a legal requirement that an employer provides their staff with adequate fire safety training for their premises. Your staff should be aware of the fire evacuation plan, fire escape routes and, where appropriate, how to use fire fighting equipment. This will ensure that optimal safety can be met in the event of a fire. BV Associates can provide fire safety training to ensure that a comprehensive level of training is achieved.

Fire Risk Assessment (FRA)

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in England and Wales, the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 in Scotland and the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 in Northern Ireland, it is a legal requirement for a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) to be carried out on all premises where people could be working.  Under these regulations, the ‘responsible person,’ generally the business owner, is legally obliged to ensure that the fire risk assessment is carried out and that any problems highlighted during the assessment are rectified.  In multi-tenanted buildings, each tenant has to carry out a fire risk assessment of their premises, and coordinate it with the fire risk assessment that the landlord has carried out of their areas.

Our fire risk assessors pride themselves on having the expertise and the highest standards. You will receive a full report with recommendations and we will advise you on any changes that need to be made.

What our customers say?

"Would just like to thank Dean Ferguson at BV Associates and his team, especially Jon Gow for the totally professional delivery of the NEBOSH NGC 1 & 2 syllabuses. Totally blown away by the the expert industry knowledge that Jon has to offer. Jon explained in detail and simple terms each and every part of the course. Initially I thought it was going to be death by PowerPoint for two weeks, however, Jon’s programming of daily home work and morning confirmatory syndicate break out revision sessions were very worthwhile and engaged all on the course with different learning styles. H&S can been seen as a ‘Dry’ subject to some but Jon made it something more worthwhile to learn and gain knowledge about. I personally feel I am fully prepared for the exams next week. Jon is a total credit to BV Associates Ltd."
