Half Day Fire Warden & Extinguisher Training
About this Course
Our fire warden and fire extinguisher training has been specifically designed for those who have been allocated fire safety responsibilities within their workplace and require education in regards to fire safety, evacuation procedures, prevention, and practical use of safety equipment.
We believe that a mixture of theory and practical sessions provides the best learning experience for our clients. Breaking the course into sections allows for safety information to be easily digested and remembered. Practicing using an extinguisher helps eliminate time loss and improper use when confronted by a fire.
Who is this for?
This course is open to individuals working in any sector, from carers to office workers. We can even facilitate training of a whole workplace by creating a course that includes training that has been modified to the size of your workplace and the industry that you work within.
We group our courses into sectors so that if a smaller number of your team is attending, they get the most appropriate training for your business, regardless of your location or size.
During the course, we will teach simple and effective ways to prevent fires, the difference between and purposes of each extinguisher and how to use them, along with how to classify different types of fire.
The practical session included in the training allows attendees to get hands on experience reacting and responding to a fire, and offers a chance to safely and properly use appropriate fire extinguishers. Topics covered include:
- Overview of UK Fire Law
- Fire Chemistry
- Behaviour of Fire & Fire Action Routines
- Using the Emergency Service Number
- Fire Classification
