About this course:
Our Adult MHFA Two Day course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider giving you:
· An in depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
· Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
· Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
· Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
· Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to support
Overview:
Mental health related illness is now the biggest challenge for businesses across the UK. There are some very alarming figures and compelling evidence from the HSE, Mind, Mental Health First aid England (MHFA), the Office of National Statics, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and World Health Organisation (WHO) to mention a few.
Legislation Update:
There is currently a lot of pressure on the UK Government to form legislation that will ensure that organisations have policies, procedures and individuals trained on mental health related issues in the same manner that you have people that are first aid at work trained.
