Mental Health Workshop (1 Day)

About this Course

Around 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health episode each year, with 1 in 6 reporting that they have experienced a common mental health problem (such as anxiety or depression) in any given week.  Yet only 1 in 8 adults with a mental health condition is currently believed to be receiving the treatment and support they need.

For organisations, this presents a challenge as much as an opportunity to play a central role in strengthening the mental wellbeing of their workforce. Those organisations which have a clear strategy in place and that proactively protect and care for mental health issues will reap the rewards of a robust and resilient workforce.

Who is this for?

Suitable for managers and leaders.

Whether you are just starting to shape your wellbeing agenda, or already have a clear plan in place, this workshop and resources will provide practical tools and techniques which will build your internal capability to deliver, create and maintain a culture of healthy high performance.

Learning Outcomes

This engaging and interactive full-day in-house workshop is designed to support managers to lead and enable greater mental wellbeing in their team.  As well as building awareness and understanding of what mental wellbeing is, it will help managers to recognise the early warning signs of common mental health conditions.

The session will provide delegates with a range of practical tools and techniques to create a supportive climate, role model best practice and lead positive conversations about mental health.

What are the Benefits for Employers?

When employees enjoy robust physical and mental health, they are happier, more engaged, more motivated, more productive, more resilient, less prone to absenteeism and more likely to stay with your business for longer.

What our customers say?

"I can certainly recommend training with Dean Ferguson, they offer superb training and utilise your ELCAS funding to the maximum giving you the best start after the military. Dean and his team guided me whilst I was still serving and I haven’t looked back since."

"I must say the standard of the instruction by Nik Taylor is second to none, he made the learning environment comfortable and put all the learners at ease. His knowledge and the way he brings to life and easy to understand is excellent. He was available 24/7 for anything that needed clarifying by the students. The exam was also run to the highest standard by Claire. Please pass my thanks to both and I can’t wait to see them again on my fire course in Feb!"
